Senior Accounts Executive

About the role

Yobbi Consultancy is hiring a Senior Accounts Executive in Singapore for a full-time position. The role covers day-to-day accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, monthly financial statements and support of month-end and year-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor cash flow and maintain cash controls; prepare and reconcile bank statements
• Prepare monthly P&L and balance sheets, and monthly accounts payable payments and non-trade expense payments
• Ensure transactions are processed and properly recorded, and maintain accurate accounting records and filing
• File all financial files, records and documents
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management accounts, and support month-end and year-end closing
• Analyse financial data to spot discrepancies and areas for improvement
• Assist with tax reporting and compliance, including GST and withholding tax
• Process accounts payable, reconcile vendor statements and pay invoices on time
• Manage accounts receivable and invoicing, prepare client statements of account and manage inter-company invoicing
• Update client receipts in CRM/accounting systems, monitor payments and follow up on outstanding balances
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations, and collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification
• Full sets of accounting experience
• Active team player willing to learn, resourceful and able to work independently with minimal supervision under pressure
• Meticulous, accurate with data entry, with good interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Chinese and English to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients

Required skills

• Experience with XERO
• Proficiency in MS Excel
