Senior Associate / Manager, Energy & Renewables (Emergency Preparedness & Response)

About the role

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), a government agency under the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, is recruiting a Senior Associate / Manager for its Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) team. The EPR team coordinates EDB's emergency preparedness response to situations such as energy supply crises and future pandemics. The role also involves Energy & Chemical (E&C) industry development work.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the energy supply chain and potential disruptions.
• Develop energy supply and distribution operational plans and pandemic preparedness plans.
• Liaise with other government agencies and key industry players to strengthen energy supply chain resilience.
• Support the management of additional resources appointed by EDB to audit and inspect EDB-managed worksites.
• Drive industry development programmes so Singapore remains competitive for the E&C sector.
• Support and implement WOG or trade association initiatives on E&C and process workers' availability and productivity.
• Support land master planning.

Required profile

• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience coordinating large-scale projects across multiple stakeholders, including government agencies.
• Supply chain management and/or petroleum industry experience preferred.
• Singaporean citizenship.
• Ability to be rostered to work on weekends if required.

Required skills

• Excellent written and spoken interpersonal and communication skills, including stakeholder engagement.
• Strong organisational and data management skills.
• Knowledge of inter-agency taskforces, government agencies, trade associations and the E&C and process construction and maintenance industries.
