Senior Mechanical Engineer - Product Transfer & Manufacturing

About the role

A global technology manufacturer in a highly regulated industry is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Singapore. The role covers product transfer and manufacturing readiness, driving reliability, quality and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. The position is permanent, with a base salary of SG$5,000 to SG$8,500 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product transfer and manufacturing readiness activities for new and existing products
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, reliability, yield and cost performance
• Support mechanical design enhancements including structural components, mechanisms, thermal management and manufacturability improvements
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for complex technical issues
• Maintain engineering documentation, validation reports, change controls and product lifecycle records
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, suppliers and design teams to ensure successful product deployment
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices and data-driven decision making

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, Sustaining Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience supporting product transfer, manufacturing operations and engineering change management
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, mechanisms, GD&T, tolerance analysis and DFMA
• Understanding of reliability engineering, validation and structured problem-solving methods such as FMEA, DOE and 8D
• Proficiency with CAD and PLM systems
• Experience analysing engineering data and applying statistical methods to improve processes and products
