Senior Process Engineer, MSAT (CGT)

About the role

Lonza, a global leader in life sciences and the first biologics contract manufacturer in Singapore, is hiring a Senior Process Engineer for its Cell, Gene and Therapy (CGT) division in Singapore. The role is based in Tuas and supports the timely transfer of customer manufacturing processes, covering process development, validation, troubleshooting, technology transfer, optimization, compliance and documentation. The position is open to Process Engineers or Material Scientists depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or support technology transfer and scale-up of manufacturing processes, collaborating with global teams, vendors and customers.
• Conduct lab-scale experiments and troubleshooting as needed.
• Author and review technical documentation and training materials.
• Monitor production runs, ensure GMP compliance and drive process improvements.
• Provide on-floor support during campaigns and manage change controls.
• Participate in audits and regulatory inspections.
• Material Scientist focus: lead material assessment and continuous improvement projects, act as subject matter expert for material investigations, manage quality events (CRF, NC, CAPA) and stay current with CGT materials while mentoring team members.

Required profile

• Degree in Science or Engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in process development or life sciences.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with clients and internal teams.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of cell and gene therapy, GMP and aseptic manufacturing.
