Senior Production Engineer - Electrical & Electronics

About the role

A client established in 1973, which designs and manufactures power distribution and control systems with an in-house facility covering design, production, testing and servicing, is hiring a Senior Production Engineer in the South West of Singapore. The role supports the Production Manager (HOD) in running the production department and covers production planning, quality data analysis and equipment maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations and executing the production plan
• Plan and schedule production work according to customer orders, approved drawings, material availability and delivery dates
• Coordinate manpower, machinery, materials and subcontracted work
• Follow up material requirements, stock levels and timely material arrival
• Liaise with Sales, Design and QA on drawings, specifications, quality requirements and technical issues
• Work with supervisors and foremen on rectification, rework and outstanding items
• Analyze defect and quality data and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Enforce safe work procedures, risk assessments and good housekeeping
• Plan and follow up preventive maintenance, servicing, repairs and improvements for equipment
• Liaise with subcontractors on pricing, capacity, schedule, delivery, quality and workmanship
• Follow the Quality Management System and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 procedures

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or another relevant technical discipline
• At least 3 years of experience in material planning, production planning or manufacturing operations
• Experience in switchboard, electrical panel or related manufacturing is preferred
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and to coordinate across departments and communicate with workers and subcontractors

What we offer

• Pay of SGD 3,800 to 4,500 (negotiable)
• Transport provided to and from the company; working hours 8:15am to 5:45pm, five days a week
