Service Engineer - Chiller / ACMV

About the role

An established air-conditioning solutions provider is hiring a Service Engineer specialising in chiller and ACMV systems, based in Ang Mo Kio. You will act as the technical authority for a portfolio of commercial and industrial customers, resolving service requests quickly and improving the service function. A mobile allowance and transport allowance are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and on-site service calls for chiller, ACMV and HVAC systems
• Diagnose faults, recommend preventive measures and solve complex mechanical and refrigeration problems
• Guide and supervise service teams and sub-contractors on testing and commissioning, and verify their work before payment documentation is prepared
• Support department strategies and service value-chain initiatives
• Maintain the service information system and complete service reports accurately and on time
• Stand by outside normal hours, on weekends or public holidays when needed, with extra hours paid according to statutory regulations
• Work in active construction sites and mechanical plant rooms

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• At least five years of hands-on experience in chiller maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul and/or annual shutdowns
• Strong written and spoken English, able to write clear service reports
• Good customer relationship management and the ability to lead, coordinate and multi-task
• Class 3 driving licence welcome; transport allowance provided regardless
