Service Sales Specialist - Analytical

About the role

ABB's Measurement & Analytics Division, which supplies smart instrumentation and analyzers to industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, power and water, is hiring a Service Sales Specialist in Singapore. Reporting to the Business Manager, the role focuses on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the full service product portfolio, with an onsite work model.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the Installed Base by developing sales opportunities for upgrades, retrofits and value-add solutions using IB databases
• Build and run a sales plan aligned with channel strategy and pricing, monitoring performance and proposing recovery plans when targets are at risk
• Generate leads, explore new markets and identify new service offerings
• Act as a solutions partner at customer engagements, campaigns, trade fairs and exhibitions
• Nurture long-term customer relationships based on their needs, regulations and technical requirements, including Life Cycle Management solutions
• Capture customer feedback, maintain satisfaction and contribute to price and quality risk assessments
• Keep the IB records up to date in the Service database and register information in customer systems

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Automation, Chemical or another relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation, instrumentation and analytical products sales, service sales or project execution
• Proven track record of building customer relationships, finding sales opportunities and hitting revenue and profitability targets
• Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals, negotiating contracts and managing customer service agreements

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of process automation systems, field instrumentation, analyzers and industrial control solutions
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
