Settlement Executive – Trade & Finance (Oil & Gas)

About the role

We are seeking a Settlement Executive to manage receivables, payables, and trade finance activities for oil and gas product transactions. The role involves close coordination with operations, treasury, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments and contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Handle receivables and payables for physical product trading transactions.
• Manage import Letter of Credit (LC) issuance and export LC negotiation.
• Review and verify trade contracts.
• Coordinate trade and shipment information with Operations.
• Follow up on payment approvals and process cargo and direct expense payments.
• Maintain updated trade data in the system for month‑end closing.
• Liaise with Treasury to provide receivable/payable data for cash‑flow planning.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Commerce, Maritime Studies or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience handling payments, invoicing, or trade finance.
• Knowledge of Letter of Credit processes is an advantage.
• Strong quantitative aptitude and attention to detail.
