Student Care Officer (Full‑time)

About the role

The Student Care Officer will engage, befriend and mentor students at Damai Secondary School, providing emotional, social and well‑being support. The role involves planning activities, monitoring progress and liaising with parents and community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Engage, befriend and mentor students who need emotional, social or well‑being support.
• Plan and conduct activities at the Student Engagement Centre and after‑school programmes.
• Monitor students’ progress, maintain records and communicate updates to parents/guardians and the school team.
• Coordinate with community partners to arrange suitable student programmes.
• Follow school procedures on student safety, confidentiality and data protection, and perform other student‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology or related fields (preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience working with or supporting youths, preferably in a school, social service or community setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Caring, empathetic and emotionally resilient.
