Technical Executive – School of Health and Social Sciences

About the role

The School of Health and Social Sciences is seeking a Technical Executive to ensure the smooth operation of its IT infrastructure. You will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to maintain equipment, support software, and contribute to ICT initiatives that enhance teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled checks, maintenance, and software updates on IT equipment across designated venues.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, repairs, and maintenance schedules; identify shortages, manage condemnation, and place orders.
• Provide first‑line technical support to users, troubleshooting equipment and software issues and liaising with stakeholders.
• Assist with school system administration and support ICT projects such as e‑assessment, cybersecurity, network, server, and peripheral maintenance.
• Support the School IT team on ongoing technical duties, projects, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in committees, project work, and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Information Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IT support or maintenance.
• Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or Microsoft Power Automate; programming knowledge is a plus.
• Customer‑service orientation, motivated, resourceful, responsible, and a strong team player.
• Excellent diagnostic, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities.
