Telecommunications Officer

About the role

Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford, two hotels owned by Accor in the heart of Singapore's shopping, dining and entertainment districts, are hiring a full-time Telecommunications Officer. The officer supports communications operations, handles guest requests and ensures accurate billing and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the Officer Shift Checklist and record and follow up job-related incidents in the Officer Log
• Report broadband and telephone equipment defects to the relevant vendors
• Attend to complaints and enquiries referred by the Communications Assistant
• Highlight important events, special instructions and information to the team
• Handle follow-ups passed over from the previous shift
• Handle and deliver the hotel's general emails to the relevant departments promptly
• Monitor the Guest Request Management system and flag service delays to the responsible departments
• Monitor and ensure the accuracy of call charges and postings in the PMS and Call Accounting system

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in the hospitality/service industry preferred
• Minimum 'O' level education with 5 credits or a Diploma
• Good spoken and written English; proficiency in multiple languages preferred
• Excellent management, planning, decision-making, interpersonal, communication and counselling skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of PBX and voicemail systems
• Knowledge of call accounting, guest request management and property management systems
• OPERA knowledge preferred
