Triage Specialist, Vulnerability Discovery Programme

About the role

Assurity Trusted Solutions (ATS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Government Technology Agency (GovTech), is looking for motivated fresh graduates or early-career professionals interested in cybersecurity to join its Crowdsourced Vulnerability Discovery Programme (CVDP) triage team on a contract basis. The role offers hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment and management while working with government systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and validate incoming vulnerability reports from security researchers, working with senior team members to determine severity and impact
• Contribute to triage and root cause analysis of vulnerabilities under the guidance of experienced team members
• Document findings and keep clear communication with stakeholders
• Analyse vulnerability trends and patterns within systems
• Support the maintenance and development of APIs that integrate the bug bounty platform, JIRA and other external systems, under supervision
• Assist with data cleansing and develop scripts for data transformation, gaining practical experience in data quality management

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a diploma or degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security or a related technical field
• OSCP certification or programming experience is advantageous
• Internship experience in IT security, software development or a related field is advantageous

Required skills

• Fundamental understanding of web application security and common vulnerabilities (OWASP)
• Knowledge of programming concepts and basic scripting capabilities
• Basic understanding of API concepts and system integration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, excellent communication skills and teamwork
