Urgent 6-Month Account Payable & GL Specialist (SGD 3500-4000)

About the role

We are looking for an Account Payable & General Ledger Specialist to join our finance team on a 6‑month contract in Singapore. The role supports the end‑to‑end accounts payable process, ensures accurate posting, and assists with intercompany and expense reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 3‑way match of vendor invoices, debit and credit notes against purchase orders and delivery orders, investigating any mismatches.
• Post vendor invoices into the accounting system and check external service engineer overtime claims before invoicing.
• Generate accounts‑payable aging reports and reconcile AP sub‑ledger with the general ledger.
• Maintain vendor account records, perform statement‑of‑account reconciliations and ensure liabilities are fully captured.
• Execute bi‑monthly intercompany AR/AP reconciliations via Excel uploads to the Intercompany Reconciliation Tool.
• Review employee expense claims for policy compliance and post approved claims.
• Prepare monthly payment runs (GIRO, TT, netting, cheque) and obtain bank authoriser approvals.
• Update AP policy in line with group directives and perform 4‑eye checks on vendor account creation.
• Create customer accounts in the accounting system and carry out internal controls as required.

Required profile

• Junior‑level finance professional with basic knowledge of accounts payable and general ledger processes.
• Ability to work onsite in Singapore for the duration of the 6‑month contract.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate discrepancies.
