WSH Safety Officer – Construction

About the role

The WSH Safety Officer will lead the development and maintenance of Safety & Health Management Systems on construction sites across Singapore. This senior position ensures compliance with statutory regulations and drives continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain on‑site Safety & Health Management Systems (SHMS) in line with corporate protocols.
• Identify, assess and mitigate workplace and process‑related risks, and enforce safe work procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits and investigations of incidents, reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Deliver in‑house safety training sessions and promote EHS awareness.
• Serve as secretary for the WSH Committee and act as chair in the chairman’s absence.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and statutory requirements under MOM and NEA.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in Singapore’s building and construction industry.
• Valid WSHO licence and strong knowledge of the Workplace Safety & Health Act and related regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; completion of a full HDB BTO project cycle is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
