Merchant Acquisition Executive

About the role

EPOS, part of Ant International's merchant payment services division, is a Point-of-Sale digital solutions provider based in Singapore. It is looking for a highly driven Merchant Acquisition Executive to expand its merchant network by identifying, engaging and acquiring new merchants across Singapore. This is a field-based role requiring frequent physical visits to merchant locations.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, identify and acquire new merchants through field sales and canvassing.
• Visit retail shops, F&B outlets, service providers and other businesses regularly to generate sales opportunities.
• Build a sales pipeline through cold calling, walk-ins, referrals, networking and market research.
• Understand merchants' needs and recommend suitable EPOS products and solutions.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations, negotiate commercial terms and close deals.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding and account activation.
• Work with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and onboarding.
• Maintain sales records, pipeline updates and activity reports in CRM systems.
• Track market trends, competitors and merchant needs, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, merchant acquisition or field sales; fresh graduates with strong communication skills are also welcome.
• Comfortable with outdoor fieldwork and frequent face-to-face visits.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and relationship-building skills, self-motivated and target-driven.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills; proficiency in English, with additional languages an advantage.

Required skills

• Familiarity with payment solutions, POS systems, fintech or SaaS products is an advantage.
• CRM use for tracking leads and sales records.
