Project Officer, Global Ventures (1 Year Contract)

About the role

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) is looking for an Executive Officer for its Global Ventures team, a 1-year contract role based in EDB, Singapore. The team supports companies in corporate venturing, experienced founders building new ventures and growth-stage ventures landing in Singapore, through joint venture building sprints, co-investment and portfolio value creation. The role is primarily a support function for internal teams and is an individual contributor position.

Key responsibilities

• Admin support and research: support senior team members with high-value quantitative and qualitative research and assessments, and with due diligence processes
• Prepare pre- and post-meeting materials for meetings with companies, founders and investors
• Monitor and review required documents against the investment document and internal frameworks
• Manage company performance and incentive reporting
• Collate data, maintain databases and keep files properly documented
• Coordinate logistics and schedules for team meetings and trips, and manage the founder community event calendar and event logistics
• Develop sales enablement materials to help the team engage founders, and carry out other operations duties such as Business Continuity Plan efforts
• May also perform secretariat duties and support agenda setting for inter-agency platforms

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Prior experience coordinating logistics and schedules for senior management
• Preferred: academic or professional training in Business Administration, Event Management, Communications or Risk Management
• Good command of English and Mandarin
• Singaporean and Singapore PRs

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Internet-savvy
• Team player with a proactive approach, attention to detail, adaptability and accuracy
• Preferential consideration for candidates who can improve processes or tools, and who can interface independently with external clients or partners
