QA Lead – Sheet Metal & Machining

About the role

As the QA Lead (CSG) at NTS Singapore you will drive quality excellence across the sheet‑metal business, overseeing customer, supplier and manufacturing quality activities. You will lead a team of Quality Engineers and QA/QC Inspectors while acting as the primary quality interface for key customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Quality Engineers and QA/QC Inspectors supporting customer programs, suppliers and manufacturing operations.
• Serve as the single point of contact for customer quality escalations and manage complaint investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Strengthen supplier quality performance through audits, development and corrective‑action processes.
• Establish and maintain quality control plans, PFMEAs, inspection standards and risk‑mitigation activities.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as PPM, NCRs, COPQ, rework, scrap, yield and corrective‑action effectiveness.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of quality engineering or management experience in sheet‑metal fabrication, precision machining or contract manufacturing.
• At least 3 years of experience leading Quality Engineers and QA teams.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in both sheet‑metal fabrication and machining.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and drive continuous‑improvement culture.

Required skills

• Sheet‑metal fabrication, CNC machining, welding, surface treatment, coating, mechanical assembly, GD&T, dimensional metrology and inspection methods.
• Quality tools: ISO 9001, 8D, root‑cause analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA/Gage R&R, Cp/Cpk, First Article Inspection.
