Senior Manager (Food Services), Eastern General Hospital

About the role

SingHealth is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager (Food Services) for the Eastern General Hospital Planning Office. The role is central to setting up and managing all aspects of food services so that patients receive high-quality, nutritious meals. It also supports the hospital's Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) efforts and fosters cross-departmental collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement food service policies and procedures in line with health and safety regulations, and manage the budget and financial aspects of food services.
• Collaborate with nutritionists and dietitians to plan menus that meet patients' dietary needs.
• Assist in overseeing the procurement of food and supplies.
• Manage a team of outsourced food services staff, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and excellent customer service.
• Develop and implement initiatives to improve quality and efficiency, such as new technologies or sustainable practices.
• Support ORAT efforts and build collaboration across departments for seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, Food Service Management, Hospitality or equivalent, with at least 8 years of relevant experience and at least 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• Proven experience in food services operation, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage stakeholders in a growing, multi-generational organisation.
• Able to work under pressure, adapt to change and manage challenges.
