Senior Solution Engineer - Malaysia Market

About the role

Salesforce is looking for a Senior Solution Engineer (Account Solution Engineer) to join its team and support the Malaysia market. The role works with enterprise organisations across a range of industries, helping them understand their challenges and goals through discovery sessions and workshops, and positioning Salesforce as a strategic partner in their digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with clients and internal teams to agree on multi-product technology solutions across the Salesforce product lines.
• Work on business development, operations and IT strategy assignments, acting as a trusted advisor to improve business performance.
• Define complex business problems, propose solution options and drive consensus among stakeholders.
• Deliver customised solutions and demonstrations to multiple customer personas, using live product demos and rapid prototyping.
• Build and present the customer experience story, and lead cross-functional solutions engagements aligned to the opportunity strategy.
• Support the Account Executive and Professional Services team in discovery, analysis and recommendations.
• Take part in product, sales and procedural training and certifications.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Strong oral and written communication in both Bahasa Melayu and English, able to engage clients and stakeholders across Malaysia and Singapore.
• Ability to work in a team to solve technical problems in varied environments.
• Experience will be evaluated against the core competencies of the role.

Required skills

• Knowledge of related applications, relational databases and web technology.
• Even better: Salesforce certifications, previous experience as a Solution/Sales Engineer for a CRM company, basic programming in HTML and other web technologies, and familiarity with the Malaysian business landscape.
