Adjunct Adult Educator

About the role

The Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) seeks passionate Adjunct Adult Educators to deliver its Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) core programmes. You will guide adult learners through classroom, online and blended formats, fostering lifelong learning and supporting organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate lesson content in line with lesson plans across classroom, online and blended settings.
• Conduct competency‑based assessments to evaluate learner progress.
• Develop and adapt courseware for WSQ programmes, incorporating EdTech tools where appropriate.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience training adult learners.
• Experience with WSQ or competency‑based training and courseware development is preferred.
• Domain expertise in instructional design and strong facilitation skills.
• Ability to deliver blended learning that includes classroom, online and workplace components.
• Mandatory qualifications: WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA).
• Preferred qualifications: WSQ Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP) or WSQ Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE).
• Availability for evening and Saturday classes is an advantage.
