Director, Strategic Partnerships (Relocation to Singapore)

About the role

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system used by more than 675,000 businesses, is looking for a Director of Strategic Partnerships to relocate to Singapore. The role leads the partnerships strategy for the region, manages the most important partnership opportunities and owns executive-level relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop, own, refine and implement a partnerships strategy that supports the company's overall business vision
• Manage the most strategically important partnership opportunities in the region, existing and new, and own executive-level relationships
• Monitor the competitive landscape and proactively recommend actions to executive management so Airwallex stays a partner-of-choice
• Act as the main point of contact for the APAC General Manager and ensure the team executes partnership initiatives aligned with regional commercial objectives
• Coordinate due diligence with prospective partners and manage internal stakeholders through commercial, product and systems assessment
• Build relationships with potential partners and key industry decision-makers and act as a region expert while keeping the global footprint in mind

Required profile

• An exceptional communicator who can connect with people at all levels, internally and externally, and set project expectations clearly
• Thrives under pressure and works well amid constant change and the ambiguity of a startup environment
• Strong negotiation skills to handle complex commercial discussions
• Ability to lead a diverse team of specialists, each managing their own strategic partners
• A strong network of partners, experts and executives built up in a primarily partnerships role
